The Forest of Possibility

Through the careful design of circulation, materiality and atmosphere, the project aims to reframe our understanding of the public library from a static archive of conceptual knowledge, to an active environment of embodied wisdom. By introducing greenery and landscape design elements, the library presents a model for how public buildings can be designed to cater for a more harmonious relationship between humans and nature; whilst also creating a more rejuvenating environment that is conducive to both private study and creative collaboration.
